At Selectric Heating we keep it simple: our charges are fair; we purposely rein in our overheads and don’t glorify our service offering with gimmicks or giveaways.
Electric Heating Estimates
In most cases, estimates are provided in writing and are free of charge except in the case of out of hours emergency call out work, which is fully chargeable. There will also be a minimal and fair charge made for attending to provide a quote where there is a cost to us, for example parking fees or the Congestion Charge. Estimates are always conducted during the hours of daylight.
For larger projects exceeding the sum of approximately £10,000, a fixed fee of £200 plus VAT is charged to cover the time elements involved with numerous site visits and the preparation of an extensive written estimate.
Our Charges for Electric Heating Installations & Repairs
Our hourly rate for repairs and maintenance is £80 per hour plus VAT. This applies Monday to Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday 8am-2pm. Our rate for bank holiday call-outs is £120 per hour plus VAT. Please note that all rates exclude materials which when supplied by us are charged at cost plus 20%. VAT is chargeable at the prevailing rate.
Payment is due in full on completion of work. Under no circumstances should customers assume that credit is offered, should payment not be received within 24hrs of an invoice being sent, then interest is and will be charged and applied to the outstanding invoice and charged daily at the rate of 8% per annum pro rata. We only accept payments in the form of BACS or CASH no other forms of payment will be accepted.
Please be aware that no official documentation, such as installation certificates, warranties, guarantees, etc. will be handed over until payment is received in full.
Electric Heating Guarantees
Selectric Heating offers a 12 month written guarantee on all our work (labour) with the option in some cases to extend this to two years.
All work is carried out under the Building Regulations.
Products and materials supplied are covered under manufacturers’ warranties.
Any defects occurring within the guarantee period are always treated as priorities. This service is also extended to defects arising outside of the guarantee period although in some cases there may be a charge depending on the nature of the work.
