Underfloor heating has become increasingly popular both with new build properties and with re-furbishing period properties. It works perfectly alongside electric boilers and there are plenty of benefits.
Underfloor heating has a modern, luxurious feel. Rather than heating rooms with radiators, hot water is passed through pipes beneath the floor and the heat then rises to heat the room. The lack of radiators is a real bonus for many, with increased space and no unsightly radiators spoiling the clean decorative finish.
Underfloor heating also acts as a positive selling point when marketing a property; it’s very attractive to potential buyers.
Rooms are efficiently heated with underfloor heating because of the way the heat is distributed. Unlike radiators which heat the area immediately next to them and then slowly heat up other parts of the room, a larger surface area is heated from the floor up, which results in a more even and consistent temperature.
This even distribution of heat means that underfloor heating never gets as hot as a radiator system, making it more environmentally friendly and a definite plus to lower heating bills too.
